iSV Font Designer's Toolkit Aaron Timbrell Originally published by iSV Products

iSV's Font Designer's Toolkit is a set of utilities for creating, editing and enhancing outline fonts. All the components of the Toolkit were published on the RISC User 12:6 and 12:7 discs with the exception of Font Catalogue, which now rejoins the other members of the Toolkit here. The Toolkit is reproduced in its entirety on this CD by permission of iSV Products. Note that iSV Products publishes many other font- and design-related utilities; for further details visit their Web site at http://www.isvproducts.co.uk/.

In the contents list below, clicking the icon at the right of each program's description will open its associated software manual.

Also provided below are two different versions of Acorn's FontEd outline font editor program. Although they are in some ways superseded by iSV's customised version (provided as part of the Toolkit), version 0.32 in particular retains some facilities which are not found in other versions.

Acorn's FontEd

	FontEd version 0.31a This version of FontEd is not the last release, but it is a late version which is fully StrongARM-compatible; it can cope with the majority of RISC OS outline fonts
	FontEd version 0.32 This is the final Acorn release of FontEd. It has more features than version 0.31a, and can handle fonts with more complex characters. However, it is not natively StrongARM-compatible, and has had to be patched for compatibility (the patch is included). This has lead to a significant loss of performance on StrongARM machines.
